INTRODUCTION ABOUT DOLO 650MG TABLET
Dolo-650 Tablet is used to provide relief from fever and body pains. It contains paracetamol which is a pain-relieving medicine. It works by blocking the release of certain chemicals (like prostaglandins) within the body that causes pain and inflammation. It also manages prostaglandin release in the hypothalamus of the brain which reduces body temperature.
Take Dolo 650 Tablet as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without meals. However, taking it with meals help reduce stomach upset or irritation.
Strictly follow the dosing schedule as instructed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dosages as it could affect your liver. Dolo 650 Tablet starts working within 30 minutes of its intake. Leave a time gap of 4 hours between each dose of Dolo 650.
Dolo 650 Tablet is generally safe and well-tolerated. Do not take this medicine, without consulting your doctor if you have severe liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking Dolo 650, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
During pregnancy, your gynaecologist may recommend you Dolo 650, only if it is necessary and for a shortest duration possible. Do not take this medicine, during the last stages of pregnancy without doctor’s supervision.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine, as it could increase the risk of liver damage. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any kidney diseases. Consult your doctor before administering this medicine to children aged below 10 years.

HOW DOLO 650MG TABLET WORKS
Dolo 650 Tablet is a pain-relieving medicine. It works by blocking the release of certain chemicals (like prostaglandins) within the body that causes pain and inflammation. It also manages prostaglandin release in the hypothalamus of the brain which reduces body temperature. As a result, it helps in reducing fever, body pain and minor aches and pains.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Follow the dosage prescribed by your doctor. Typically, it's taken 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours, but do not exceed 4,000 mg (6 tablets) in 24 hours
- You can take Dolo 650 with or without food. If you experience stomach upset, it's better to take it with food
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew it
- Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can increase the risk of liver damage
- Leave a time gap of 4 hours between each dose of Dolo 650
SIDE EFFECTS OF DOLO 650MG TABLET
Dolo 650 Tablet is safe and well-tolerated. In some individuals (rarely) it may reduce the levels of WBC in the blood.

PREGNANCY

Your gynaecologist may recommend you this medicine, only if it is necessary and for a shortest duration possible. Do not take this medicine, during the last stages of pregnancy without doctor’s supervision.
BREASTFEEDING
SafeIt can be used during in breastfeeding women. However, consult your doctor before taking it.
DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Use with CautionDolo 650 TABLET has no influence on the ability to drive and operate machinery.
ALCOHOL
Consult your doctorAvoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine as it could increase the risk of liver damage.
KIDNEY
Use with CautionIt should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
LIVER
Consult your doctorDo not take this medicine if you have severe liver problems (including alcohol induced liver disease, fatty liver). It should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
ALLERGY
ContraindicatedDo not take this medicine if you are allergic to Paracetamol.
USE IN PEDIATRICS
Consult your doctorConsult your doctor for advice before administering this medicine in children aged below 10 years. Your doctor may evaluate your child’s age and health condition and prescribe a suitable dose and duration accordingly.
USE IN GERIATRICS
Use with CautionDolo 650 TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients with liver problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you:
- have sepsis (blood infection)
INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- other medicines containing paracetamol
- medicines to control nausea and vomiting (Ex. metoclopramide, domperidone)
- cholestyramine (used to control blood lipid levels)
- warfarin (used for managing blood clots)
- antibiotics (Ex. rifampicin, flucloxacillin, chloramphenicol)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of this medicine, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital, even if you feel well, as it can cause serious liver damage.
