INTRODUCTION ABOUT DILNIP 10 TABLET

DILNIP 10 TABLET is used for the management of hypertension and its associated vascular disorders. It can also be used for dealing with hypertension for end organ protection.

It contains Cilnidipine which is a vasodilator that relaxes the blood vessels supplying the heart and other major organs. This action reduces the strain on the heart and makes your heart pump blood efficiently, which therefore helps in reduces blood pressure and problems associated with blood circulation.

Before taking DILNIP 10 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have severe hypotension (low blood pressure), edema or congestive heart failure.

DILNIP 10 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with other severe heart problems such as narrowing of heart valves. Consult your doctor before taking DILNIP 10 TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The most common side effects of taking DILNIP 10 TABLET are swelling of ankles or other body parts, headache, dizziness, flushing, skin rashes and gingival hyperplasia (enlargement or overgrowth of the gums). Contact your doctor if any of these side effects trouble you.

 

HOW DILNIP 10 TABLET WORKS

DILNIP 10 TABLET is a vasodilator. It works by blocking the entry of certain ions (calcium ions) within the blood vessels that causes narrowing. As a result, it relaxes the blood vessels and allows blood to flow more smoothly across the blood vessels with less pressure. It also improves blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart muscles which reduces the strain on the heart, improves heart functions and manages the risks of heart attack or stroke.

 

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

  • Always take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily.
  • Cilnidipine can be taken with or without food but taking it at the same time every day helps maintain steady blood levels.
  • Take the tablet with a glass of water, and do not crush, chew, or break it.
  • Try to take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent control of your blood pressure.
  • Always consult your healthcare provider for specific instructions based on your health condition.

Common Side Effects of DILNIP 10 TABLET:

ALCOHOL

ALLERGY

HEART DISEASE

INTERACTIONS

A. Drug-Drug interactions:

Before taking DILNIP 10 TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines such as:

  • Anticancer agents (Ex. aldesleukin)
  • Antiepileptics (Ex. carbamazepinephenytoin)
  • Antibiotics (Ex. erythromycin)
  • Anti-TB agents (Ex. rifampicin)
  • Anti-hypertensives and cardiac agents (Ex. quinidine, propranololdigoxin)
  • Antipsychotics (Ex. risperidone, quetiapine, olanzapine)
  • insulin (a medicine used for diabetes mellitus)
  • cimetidine (a medicine used to manage stomach ulcers) 

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally took more DILNIP 10 TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
