About this item

INTRODUCTION ABOUT VOLIBO 0.3 TABLET

VOLIBO 0.3 TABLET is used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus along with diet and exercise to improve post-prandial blood glucose levels (when only diet and/or exercise or oral hypoglycemic drugs or insulin preparation in addition to diet and/or exercise does not result in adequate glycemic control). It contains Voglibose which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-diabetics. It works by inhibiting the intestinal enzymes that are responsible for breaking complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This manages the level of blood glucose from increasing very high immediately after meals.

Along management with VOLIBO 0.3 TABLET follow regular exercise and diet plan as advised by your doctor to achieve better results. VOLIBO 0.3 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having severe ketosis, severe infection, before and after an operation, or with serious trauma and gastrointestinal obstruction.

VOLIBO 0.3 TABLET should be used with caution in patients undergoing abdominal laparotomy for gallstone ileus or have roemheld’s syndrome, stenosis, liver, and kidney problems and in elderly patients. VOLIBO 0.3 TABLET is not recommended for use among pregnant, breastfeeding women, children, and adolescents. The most common side effects of taking VOLIBO 0.3 TABLET are soft stools or diarrhea, flatulence, bloating, abdominal pain or discomfort, abdominal fullness, and nausea.
