About this item

INTRODUCTION ABOUT PRAZOPRESS XL 2.5MG TABLET

PRAZOPRESS XL 2.5MG TABLET contains Prazosin which belongs to the group of medicines called Alpha-Blockers. It is mainly used to manage hypertension (condition in which force of the blood is high against the arterial walls), heart failure (a condition in which heart doesn’t pump blood well) and Raynaud’s disease (condition in which some areas of the body may feel numb and cold such as fingers and toes). PRAZOPRESS XL 2.5MG TABLET is also used to manage prostatic hyperplasia in men. Prostatic hyperplasia can be defined as an age-related mild prostate gland enlargement which is categorized by urinary difficulties or increased frequency of urination during night-time.

Prazosin works by reducing the blood pressure where it helps relax the walls of blood vessels and reduce the resistance to blood flow so that blood can pass smoothly without any obstruction. It reduces the chances of heart failure by acting on the main blood vessel, thus allowing the heart to pump blood effectively. It manages Raynaud’s disease (fingers become white and painful when cold) by relaxing the blood vessels so that blood can reach the fingers and promotes circulation thereby manages fingers being cold and stiff. PRAZOPRESS XL 2.5MG TABLET also manages prostatic hyperplasia (mild enlargement of prostate gland) by relaxing the muscles of bladder and prostate gland and thus helps to pass urine easily.
