About this item

INTRODUCTION ABOUT NUROKIND OD TABLET

NUROKIND OD TABLET contains Methylcobalamin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamins. NUROKIND OD TABLET is used to manage peripheral neuropathies (peripheral nerve damage that affects hands, feet, and arms) and megaloblastic anaemia (blood disorder that occurs due to abnormal production of red blood cells) caused by vitamin B12 deficiency in affected individuals.

NUROKIND OD TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to mecobalamin and/or other B12-containing medicines. It is also not recommended for use in patients with Leber’s disease (an inherited form of vision loss).

Before taking NUROKIND OD TABLET, inform your doctor if you are in an occupation of handling mercury and/or have kidney problems (such as renal failure) or liver problems (such as hepatic impairment).

NUROKIND OD TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged 6 months to 18 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above) after consulting the doctor.

The most common side effects of taking NUROKIND OD TABLET are weakness, headache, back pain, muscle pain, indigestion, nausea, and/or vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects worsen.

USES OF NUROKIND OD TABLET

  • Manage peripheral neuropathies
  • Manage megaloblastic anaemia (caused by vitamin B12 deficiency) in affected individuals

HOW NUROKIND OD TABLET WORKS

NUROKIND OD TABLET works by aiding in the synthesis of myelin (a lipid-rich material that covers nerve fibers), which helps in protecting the nerve fibers and thereby providing relief from painful diabetic neuropathy in affected individuals. It also promotes nucleic acid synthesis in the bone marrow, which helps in the maturation and division of erythroblasts, thus managing poor production of red blood cells and thereby improving megaloblastic anemia in affected individuals.
