INTRODUCTION ABOUT MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET

MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET is a combination of Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic acid, which belongs to the group of medicines called Cephalosporins and Beta-lactamase inhibitors, respectively. MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET is used to manage mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of microorganisms in conditions such as acute otitis media (middle ear infection), pharyngitis (sore throat)/tonsillitis (inflammation of tonsils), community-acquired pneumonia, chronic bronchitis (respiratory infection), and acute maxillary sinusitis (sinus infection) in affected individuals.

MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET is also used to manage uncomplicated skin structure infections, urethral and cervical gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted disease), anorectal (anal/rectal) infections, and urinary tract infections in affected individuals.

MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Cefpodoxime, Clavulanic Acid, and/or other cephalosporin groups of antibiotics. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency (lactose intolerance), and glucose-galactose malabsorption (a condition marked by the inability of the body to absorb glucose and galactose sugars).

Before taking MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have previous history of hypersensitivity reactions to medicines such as cefpodoxime, other cephalosporins, penicillin, and/or have kidney problems (such as mild/moderate/severe renal impairment) and liver problems (such as hepatic insufficiency/impairment).

MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women only if it is clearly necessary. It is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass through breastmilk.

MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET is indicated for use in children and adolescents (aged above 12 years). Consult your doctor before administering the medicine to infants (less than 2 years), as the safety and efficacy of the medicine have not been established. The medicine should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years) after consulting the doctor.

The most common side effects of taking MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, vaginal fungal infections, and/or vulvovaginal infections. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.

USES OF MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET

HOW MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET WORKS

MICROCEF CV 200MG TABLET helps to manage mild to moderate infections, where Cefpodoxime works by managing the formation of the protective covering of the bacteria, which is essential for the survival of bacteria, and Clavulanic Acid works by reducing the resistance and enhancing the activity of Cefpodoxime against bacteria, thus managing the occurrence of infections in affected individuals.
