METROGYL 400 TABLET is used in the management of various bacterial and parasitic infections such as bacterial vaginosis (vaginal infection), trichomoniasis (parasitic infection of the genital tract), certain gastrointestinal infections, blood, brain, lung, bones, pelvic area infections, gum ulcers and other dental infections, leg ulcers and pressure sores. It helps to manage an infection after surgery.
You can take METROGYL 400 TABLET at any time of the day after food, but it is important to take it consistently at the same time each day. Continue taking the medicine for the duration prescribed by your doctor. Your symptoms may get better after a short time but do not stop taking it until you have finished a full course of treatment, even if you feel well. If you stop taking it early, some bacteria may survive, and the infection may come back. Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking METROGYL 400 TABLET and for a few days after stopping it. METROGYL 400 TABLET contains a medicine called Metronidazole which is an antiprotozoal drug that kills bacteria and parasites that cause infections in the body. DIRECTIONS FOR USE

SIDE EFFECTS OF METROGYL 400 TABLET
Like all medicines, METROGYL 400 TABLET may cause certain side effects in some individuals, although not everybody gets them.
Most Common Side Effects of METROGYL 400 TABLET are:
- headache

Dizziness Or Drowsiness
