INTRODUCTION ABOUT CHYMORAL AP TABLET
CHYMORAL AP TABLET is a combination of Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, and Trypsin Chymotrypsin which belongs to a group of medicines called Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs, Analgesic and Antipyretic agents and Proteolytic enzymes respectively. It is used for acute or chronic osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and spondylo arthritis, spondylosis and other ortho-degenerative disorders, pain management. This medicine is also used for acute traumatic injury, post operative wounds, dental abscess, acute suppurative otitis media, caesarean section/episiotomy, sciatica (pain long the path of sciatica nerve which from lower back to legs) and sports injury.
Arthritis is the tenderness or swelling of one or more joints characterized by pain, stiffness, and reduced movements. Do not take CHYMORAL AP TABLET if you have liver, kidney, and heart problems. CHYMORAL AP TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding woman. Consult your doctor before taking it.
CHYMORAL AP TABLET is not recommended for use in children and it should be used with caution in elderly patients. The common side effects of taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET are headache, nausea, constipation, wind, indigestion, diarrhoea, abdominal pain. Consult your doctor if the symptoms does not improve.
USES OF CHYMORAL AP TABLET
It is used to manage pain and inflammation in conditions such as:
- acute or chronic osteoarthritis
- rheumatoid arthritis
- spondylo arthritis
- spondylosis
- other ortho-degenerative disorders
- pain management
- acute traumatic injury
- post operative wounds
- dental abscess
- acute suppurative otitis media
- sciatica and

HOW CHYMORAL AP TABLET WORKS
CHYMORAL AP TABLET produces analgesic (painkiller) effects where Aceclofenac and paracetamol works by blocking the effects of prostaglandin (substance produced during injury and inflammation causing pain) thereby inhibits pain signals between the brain and nerve endings. Trypsin chymotrypsin resolves the signs and symptoms of inflammation due to tissue injury and facilitate the repair process through its anti-inflammatory and fibrinolytic properties.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Always take CHYMORAL AP TABLET as directed by your physician. Take this medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will advise the suitable dose and duration depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
SIDE EFFECTS OF CHYMORAL AP TABLET
COMMON
- dizziness
- nausea
- diarrhoea
UNCOMMON
- flatulence
- inflammation or irritation of the lining of the stomach
- constipation
- vomiting
- mouth ulcers
- inflammation of the skin, circular red rashes, stinging or burning patches on the skin (hives)
- signs of high blood urea and creatinine levels include fluid retention, weakness, passing low amount of urine, irregular heartbeat
RARE
- hypersensitivity (allergic reactions)
- visual disturbances
- heart problems
- high blood pressure with shortness of breath
- bleeding from the stomach or bowel, stomach, or bowel ulceration
Stop taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- allergic reactions which may be severe such as skin rash, peeling of skin, and itching, unexplained bruising, or bleeding
- severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) that can be life threatening if not immediately managed and symptoms include fever, difficulty in breathing, wheezing, abdominal pain, vomiting, swelling of the face and throat
- nausea, sudden weight loss, loss of appetite and yellowing of the eyes and skin
- severe skin rashes such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis
- signs of meningitis include high fever, headache, vomiting, blotchy red rashes, neck stiffness, sensitivity, and intolerance to light
- passing blood in faeces (stools/motions) or passing black tarry stools, vomit any blood or dark particles that look like coffee grounds
- signs of kidney failure such as loss of appetite, decreased urinary output, fatigue
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Diarrhea
To avoid dehydration in the body, drink plenty of fluids such as water, fruit juices or electrolytes. If the condition worsens, consult your physician immediately.
Headache
Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Try to take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee. Massage the scalp or head with mild pressure. Consult your doctor for advice.
Nausea And Vomiting
Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if there is no improvement in symptoms.
Skin Rash Or Itching
Try to avoid hot showers because it may cause skin irritation. Avoid frequent contact and rubbing over the affected area. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. If this symptom does not get better, speak to a doctor.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Use with CautionDo not drive or operate machines while taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET as it may cause dizziness, drowsiness, vertigo (feeling of spinning), tiredness or visual disturbances. Consult your physician for advice.
ALCOHOL
ContraindicatedAvoid consumption of alcohol while taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET because it can aggravate the side effects.
KIDNEY
ContraindicatedCHYMORAL AP TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor before taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET.
LIVER
ContraindicatedCHYMORAL AP TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver failure. Consult your doctor before taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET.
ALLERGY
ContraindicatedDo not take CHYMORAL AP TABLET if you are allergic to Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, and Trypsin Chymotrypsin or any other ingredients of this medicine.
LUNGS
Use with CautionCHYMORAL AP TABLET should be used with caution in patients with asthma or any other breathing problem. Consult your doctor before taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET.
HEART DISEASE
Consult your doctorCHYMORAL AP TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with heart disease, heart attack, have or had problems with blood circulation (peripheral arterial disease), block in blood vessels or bypass surgery. CHYMORAL AP TABLET should be used with caution in patients with angina, blood clots, high blood pressure. Consult your doctor before taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET.
USE IN PEDIATRICS
ContraindicatedCHYMORAL AP TABLET is not recommended for use in children. Consult your doctor for advice before taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET.
USE IN GERIATRICS
Use with CautionCHYMORAL AP TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult your doctor for advice.
OTHERS
CHYMORAL AP TABLET is not recommended for use if you:
- have stomach ulcer or have vomited blood or passed blood in faeces (black tarry stools)
- have bleeding or any type of blood clotting disorders
- have cerebrovascular disease
Before taking CHYMORAL AP TABLET, inform your doctor if you:
- have malnourishment or underweight
- have severe infection
- have disorders of the stomach or gut/bowel, inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis), chronic inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease),ulceration, bleeding or perforation of the stomach or bowel
- have porphyria
- have diabetes
- have raised cholesterol or other raised body fats such as triglycerides
- have autoimmune condition known as systemic lupus erythematosus or other connective tissue disorders
- have infection with chicken pox
- have ever had undergone major surgery
INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
- medicines used to manage mental health problems like depression (Ex. selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as citalopram, escitalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, and sertraline), lithium
- medicines used to manage heart failure and irregular heartbeats (Ex. cardiac glycosides such as digoxin)
- medicines used to manage high blood pressure (Ex. antihypertensives: ACE inhibitors such as enalapril, lisinopril; angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, candesartan, hydralazine, methyldopa, clonidine, moxonidine, propranalol)
- medicines to manage infection (Ex. ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, levofloxacin moxifloxacin)
- medicines used to increase the rate of urine excretion and manages fluid retention (Ex. diuretics such as thiazides, furosemide amiloride)
- medicines that stop blood clotting (Ex. warfarin, heparin, clopidogrel)
- methotrexate (medicine used to manage cancer and autoimmune disorders such as arthritis and skin conditions)
- mifepristone (medicine used to end early pregnancy)
- hydrocortisone, prednisolone (medicine used to manage swelling and inflammation)
- medicines used to suppress the immune system after organ transplant (Ex. ciclosporin or tacrolimus)
- medicines used to manage HIV (Ex. zidovudine)
- medicines used to lower blood sugar levels in diabetes (Ex. glibenclamide, glicazide, tolbutamide)
- medicines such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, COX-2 inhibitors such as celecoxib and etoricoxib
Overdosage:
If you accidentally if you or anyone else took too much of CHYMORAL AP TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit any nearby hospital.
