INTRODUCTION ABOUT CARTIGEN DUO TABLET

CARTIGEN DUO TABLET contains a combination of Diacerein and Gucosamine sulfate potassium chloride which belongs to the group of medicines called Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used to manage osteoarthritis of the knee.

Osteoarthritis is a type of joint degeneration that occurs when the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of the bones wears down over time and generates symptoms such as stiffness, pain in movement, tenderness, swelling, bone spurs, crackling sound while walking.

Before taking CARTIGEN DUO TABLET inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, heart, intestine, abdominal disease, asthma, or suffer from impaired glucose tolerance, or severe issues with the joints. Avoid consumption of alcohol during this management as it can increase liver damage.

CARTIGEN DUO TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. CARTIGEN DUO TABLET should be used with caution in the elderly above 65 years of age.

The most common side effects of taking CARTIGEN DUO TABLET are diarrhea, abdominal pain, flatulence, headache, and nausea. Consult your doctor if symptoms do not show improvement.

HOW CARTIGEN DUO TABLET WORKS

CARTIGEN DUO TABLET works by relieving symptoms of osteoarthritis in which diacerein works by blocking the actions of interleukin-1 beta, a protein involved in the inflammation and destruction of cartilage that plays a role in the development of symptoms of osteoarthritis and glucosamine sulfate potassium chloride delays many inflammation-induced catabolic processes in the cartilage and promotes the formation of cartilage.
