What is AUTRIN XT?
Introduction:
Autrin XT Tablet is a dietary supplement. Ferrous ascorbate plays an important role in the body. It helps red blood cells transport oxygen to all parts of the body. It also plays an important role in specific processes within the cell that produce the energy for our body and also used to manage iron deficiency anemia.
Cynacobaalmin (Vitamin B12) is mainly involved in nerve tissue health, brain function and the production of red blood cells and its deficiency can lead to neurological difficulties and anemia. Folic acid helps the body to make healthy new red blood cells. It is used for preventing and manageing low blood levels of folate (folate deficiency). Zinc is essential for immune function, wound healing, blood clotting, thyroid function, proper vision and for proper growth and development during childhood, adolescence and pregnancy. It is needed for insulin production in the body.

How to manage side effects:
Feeling sick (nausea):
Take these tablets with, or just after, a meal or snack to ease feelings of sickness. If you're pregnant, it could be morning sickness that's making you feel sick.
Bloating or wind:
Eat smaller and more frequent meals, eat and drink slowly, and exercise regularly. If the symptoms get worse, contact your doctor straight away.
Constipation:
Eat more high-fibre foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables and cereals, and drink plenty of water. Try to exercise more regularly, for example, by going for a daily walk or run.
Diarrhoea:
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicines to manage diarrhoea without speaking to a doctor.
Dark or black stools:
This is common when taking iron and is nothing to worry about. Talk to a doctor if your stool is black and sticky looking, has red streaks in it, or if you also feel unwell in any other way.

- Do not exceed recommended daily dose.
- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines you use, including prescription and non-prescription medicines and herbal supplements.
