HOW AUGMENTIN DDS ORAL SUSPENSION WORKS
AUGMENTIN DDS ORAL SUSPENSION helps in managing bacterial infection where amoxicillin is a penicillin that works by inhibiting the enzymes that help in the synthesis of an integral structural component of the bacterial cell wall whereas clavulanic acid is a beta-lactam (structurally related to penicillin) that works by inactivating an enzyme, namely beta-lactamase, thereby managing the inactivation of amoxicillin.

MORE INFORMATION
Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid are antibiotics used to manage infections caused by bacteria. It is effective for managing:
Middle Ear & Sinus Infections: Infections causing ear pain, difficulty hearing, nasal congestion, and facial pressure. They are typically caused by bacteria entering the ear or sinus cavities.
Respiratory Tract Infections: These include conditions like bronchitis or pneumonia, leading to cough, chest pain, and difficulty breathing, caused by bacterial invasion in the airways or lungs.
Genital Tract Infections: These infections affect the reproductive organs, causing pain, discharge, or fever, often due to bacteria spreading through sexual contact or urinary infections.
Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): Infections in the bladder or kidneys, causing frequent, painful urination and lower abdominal pain, due to bacteria entering the urinary tract.
Skin & Soft Tissue Infections (including dental infections): These infections cause redness, swelling, pain, or pus formation in the skin or tissues, commonly from bacteria entering through cuts or dental issues.
Bone & Joint Infections: Infections in bones or joints causing severe pain, swelling, and fever, typically due to bacteria spreading from the bloodstream or nearby tissues.
Septic Abortion: A severe infection following an abortion, causing fever, abdominal pain, and foul-smelling discharge due to bacterial contamination of the uterus.
Abdominal Infections: Infections inside the abdominal cavity, leading to severe pain, bloating, and fever, often from bacteria spreading from the intestines or an injury.
